This Privacy Policy explains how Fill Your Days ("Fill Your Days," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use fillyourdays.com and related services (the "Service"). Fill Your Days is a family-activities discovery website for Greater Toledo, Ohio, and other US metro areas.
Our Service is intended for parents and guardians. Please read this policy to understand our practices.
Information We Collect
We try to collect only what we need to run the Service and personalize it for you.
Newsletter signup. If you sign up for our weekly email, we collect your email address. You may also optionally provide your ZIP code and/or school district (to tailor recommendations to your area) and the ages of your children, which you enter yourself as a parent or guardian for personalization. We do not collect this information from children — the ages are provided by you, the adult, and are used only to suggest age-appropriate activities.
Accounts. You can create an optional account to save and favorite events. Accounts are handled through Supabase Auth. You can sign up with an email and password, or use "Sign in with Google" (OAuth). If you use an account, we store your saved events linked to that account.
Preferences cookie. We use a first-party cookie called fyd_p that remembers your location and your kids' ages so the site can personalize recommendations without requiring you to log in. This stays on your device and is not used to identify you personally.
Analytics and usage data. We use PostHog (US region) to understand how people use the Service — pageviews, automatically captured clicks, session replay, and error tracking. PostHog uses cookies and local storage. This helps us find bugs and improve the product.
How We Use Your Information
- Personalize event recommendations based on your location and your children's ages
- Send the optional weekly email if you've subscribed
- Operate and secure the Service, including managing accounts and saved events
- Improve the product by analyzing usage, fixing errors, and understanding what's helpful
We do not sell your personal information.
How We Share Information
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it for others' advertising. We rely on trusted service providers who process data on our behalf so the Service can function:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and backend infrastructure
- Cloudflare — frontend hosting and content delivery (CDN)
- Brevo — delivery of our newsletter and email communications
- PostHog (US region) — product analytics, session replay, and error tracking
- Google — only if you choose "Sign in with Google" (OAuth)
These providers may use your information only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the Service.
Cookies and Tracking
- fyd_p (first-party): remembers your location and kids' ages for personalization
- Analytics/session cookies and local storage (PostHog): help us understand usage and fix problems
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block cookies, some personalization features may not work as expected.
Children's Privacy
The Service is directed to parents and guardians, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. When you enter your children's ages, you are doing so as an adult for the purpose of getting age-appropriate recommendations — we don't ask for children's names, contact details, or other identifying information. If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, please contact us at hello@fillyourdays.com and we will delete it.
Your Choices and Rights
- Unsubscribe anytime. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Access or delete your data. Request a copy of, or deletion of, your personal information by emailing hello@fillyourdays.com.
- Manage cookies. Use your browser settings to control or clear cookies and local storage.
- Account data. If you have an account, you can ask us to delete it and the saved events tied to it.
California residents (CCPA). If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to or deletion of that information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@fillyourdays.com. Residents of other US states with similar privacy laws may also request access or deletion using the same contact method.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your subscription or account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. When you unsubscribe or request deletion, we remove your personal information except where we need to retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.
A Note on Event Information
Event listings are aggregated from public sources and official APIs (for example, Ticketmaster), and may combine factual details with AI-rewritten descriptions. We can't guarantee accuracy — please confirm dates, times, prices, and details directly with the venue or organizer before making plans.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. If we make significant changes, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know.
