America 250 in the Planetarium
Planetarium show celebrating America 250 at Bowling Green State University.
Bowling Green State University is hosting a special series exploring American innovation and discovery through the lens of space exploration, history, and culture. This first program focuses on America's journey to the moon, from the earliest unmanned probes in the 1960s through today's Artemis missions. A physics professor will walk families through the spacecraft and technology that made lunar exploration possible, with plenty of time built in for questions and discussion. It's a great way to connect space history with the broader context of American achievement.
The evening starts with a talk at 7:30 p.m., followed by a planetarium show called "Dawn of the Space Age" at 8:45 p.m. Best for families with kids interested in space, history, or science, this program is completely free and open to everyone. The full series runs through the end of July with additional programs scheduled throughout the month. If your family needs accessibility services or accommodations to participate, contact the university's Accessibility Services in advance.
